Mark Teague is a writer/director, animator, visual effects artist, motion graphic designer, and editor. Having worked in film, animation, comics and advertising, Mark’s influences are as diverse as his talents. As a whacky kid of the 70’s, with regular lip-syncing Kiss concerts on his back porch, running in slow motion as the Six Million Dollar Man, and his constant obsession of Star Wars, Mark quickly expanded his fanboy passion with most popular genres. With his parents being native Italians, Mark was able to study the great artists of Italy on his annual summer visits. On any given day Mark could be found immersed in his sketchbook creating a plethora of characters and creatures.

After working as a commercial artist for several years Mark finally embraced his inner fanboy and was employed as a comic book artist for such studios as Blue Comet Press, London Night Studios and Lair Comics. Titles included Zoran, Deathrow, Razor and Ward.

Soon after Mark was bitten by the animation bug and began working as a character designer and storyboard artist for Marvel Films; Marvel Action Hour - Fantastic Four, Iron Man, Spider Man. Afterwards Mark found a new home for several years at Walt Disney TV Animation working as a designer/animator on such titles as “Pocahontas II”; “Lady & the Tramp II”; “Pepper Ann”; “Weekenders”; “Jungle Cubs”; “Mouseworks”; “Campfire Tales”; “Duckworks”; “The Crow”; “Timon and Pumbaa” (Promotional Shorts); “Find Out Why” (Educational Shorts featuring Timon & Pumbaa; produced in conjunction with the National Science Foundation); “Storybook Magic” (Disney Channel Contest).

During the last few years at Disney Mark was fortunate to join the “special projects” department in which a small team of multi talented artists pioneered the blend of traditional animation with digital software. Along with support and input from Adobe Systems, Mark and his team created various efficient workflows to improve the process of animation production.

Mark also worked several other animated shows like Universal Studios; “Hercules and Zena”, “Siegfried & Roy: Masters of the Impossible”; Hyperion Animation’s “The Adventures of Hyperman”; and Moonscoop Entertainment’s “Lalaloopsy”.

Little did Mark know he would soon meet his creative soul mate Bill Lae while enjoying the festivities at Mardi Gras in New Orleans. Without hesitation Mark joined forces with Bill producing the Couch Critics, a hilarious pilot for a television series that critiquing films with a comedic approach. Five episodes aired in the Los Angeles area.

Always passionate about super heroes, Mark and Bill often wondered what the daily life of a super hero would actually entail. Hence the birth of the award-winning feature film Superguy: Behind the Cape. A mockumentary about the not-so-perfect, behind-the-scenes-life of a real super hero in which Mark produced, wrote, co-directed and starred in.

After becoming fan of the Superguy film, Mark Hamill employed Mark to be the art director/animator of his film “Comic Book: The Movie”. Mark was thrilled to work with his boyhood idol along with other fanboy stars of the film including Stan Lee, Kevin Smith, J.J Abrams, Bruce Campbell, Billy West and Tom Kenny.

Mark briefly returned to comics teaming up with long time friend and writer Derek McCaw for “Tony Loco”, published by Illusive Arts. Tony Loco is an escaped mental patient who saves his town from evildoers.

"Outstanding! With its haunted atmosphere and weirdly compelling storyline, Tony Loco is spellbinding from page one. Soulful and assured, epic and yet still intimate, it will leave you anxious for more! "

- Mark Hamill, actor/writer/director

"Behind those eyes lies the sleeping presence of something more than just a man. I can't wait to see what happens next."
